- Completed COMPSFI 102 and COMPSFI 245
- Working toward a Cybersecurity AAS degree at City Colleges of Chicago
- The ideal candidate graduates in May 2026

Job Summary:
As a crucial member of our Agile development environment, the junior scrum master will play a pivotal role in facilitating the successful delivery of work through effective Scrum practices. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and hands-on experience in an innovative and collaborative work environment.
Apprentice can also expect to:
- Scrum Facilitation
- Assist in organizing and facilitating Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospectives
- Foster a collaborative and transparent team culture by promoting open communication and information sharing
- Metrics and Reporting
- Assist in tracking key Agile metrics, such as team velocity, burn-down charts, and release burndown, to provide insights into team performance
- Generate and maintain reports that highlight project progress and potential impediments
- Continuous Improvement
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and delivery capabilities.
- Identify and address impediments to the team’s progress and collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Basic understanding of Agile principles and the Scrum framework
- Have at least one academic year left at City Colleges of Chicago
- Earn passing grades (of a C or higher) in coursework
- Analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- Knowledge of Agile tools (e.g., Jira)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
